The Futsal Stars Foundation

At The London Futsal Stars, we collaborate with The Futsal Stars Foundation, a registered UK and Wales charity (charity no 1194598). The foundation was founded by Dr Miriam Bouchiba to advance the physical health and mental well-being of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds through the provision of a football and futsal coaching service. The foundation sponsors each child by covering the costs of football kits and providing access to all courses including both training and competitive leagues  and matches as well as holiday camps.

Since its inception in December 2020, projects to  date include sponsoring 15 children to enter the Camden and Islington Youth Futsal 3-a-side league and collaborating with Active Sussex to sponsor 42 children to join a summer holiday football and futsal camp. For more information, contact Dr Bouchiba at futsalstarsfoundation@gmail.com.

Trustee and operations

Mr. Josh Mattocks
Mr Josh Mattocks is a secondary school teacher and has been working in a North London school for the past ten years. Having recently had his own son, Josh has been getting to grips with his new found role as a dad! Josh's experience working with young people, means he is a brilliant asset to the team. "I loved sport growing up and it helped me connect with friends as well as to make new friends. Seeing how sport can impact on the lives on the young people I now work with is incredible. Having a shared common interest is an invaluable asset to young people, especially those who may otherwise face social exclusion. Every child should therefore have access to extra-curricular sports and together with the foundation and The London Futsal Stars I believe we can help to make that happen!"

Chairwoman

Dr. Miriam Bouchiba
Dr. Miriam Bouchiba is a NHS healthcare professional working and living in London. In 2015, she founded a registered charity regenerating schools and building libraries in Ghana; the charity built two libraries and numerous toilet blocks for schools. She joined the LFS Foundation because of her passion for supporting young people from disadvantaged backgrounds who would otherwise have limited access to services such as those that LFS provide. "After establishing the foundation, I made the decision to collaborate with the London Futsal Stars because of their amazing reputation in the local community and the shared belief that we can collectively do so much more to help our community and young people through sport."
