How to support The Futsal Stars Foundation…
The Futsal Stars Foundation is a registered UK charity (charity no. 1194598).
To continue our collaborative work with The London Futsal Stars in the community, we need your support!
We provide financial assistance to young people from economically disadvantaged backgrounds to be able to access futsal and football coaching courses, participate in holiday camps and enter competitive leagues.
To date, we have support 15 children to enter the 11 week Camden and Islington Youth Futsal League and 42 children to attend the 6 week Newhaven Summer Camp.

And finally, a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who has shown their support thus far, without you we would not have been able to support the young people we have so far!
East Sussex Summer Camp with Active Sussex
In partnership with Active Sussex, London Futsal Stars have now started a summer camp in Newhaven, East Sussex. The camp is for children aged 4-12 years old, with a brilliant mix of boys and girls participating.
The camp runs from 25th July through to 23rd August and is held on Fort Road recreation ground, a safe environment for children to engage in sport.
Active Sussex works hard to promote sport and physical activity and shares our ethos about using sport as a means of improving mental and physical health.
Parent feedback so far has been incredible, “This kind of club is exactly what our town needs! It’s amazing to have something that is not only so well organised and so much fun for the kids but that is also free! Thank you so much to all the organisers at Futsal Stars!”
Whilst another parent said, “The coaching staff are very friendly and approachable. The London Futsal Stars are very understanding when it comes to my autistic sons needs, making him feel at ease and making feel like one of the group!”
We even had the Newhaven Town Mayor visit us in week 1 of camp, Mayor Lesley Boniface. Mayor Boniface also expressed her desire to see the camp run long-term in Newhaven due to the huge demand and the positive impact it will have on the community as a whole.
For any companies or organisations that would like to partner up with the next camp, please contact Dr Bouchiba on futsalstarsfoundation@gmail.com
Winners at the North London Futsal League Tournament (NLYFL)
London Futsal Stars entered their first futsal tournament and made history by coming back with the goods #futsaliscominghome
London Futsal Stars took part in the U11 North London Youth Futsal tournament on the 3rd of July 2021.
We entered 2 teams in the U11 age category which saw over 25 teams take part.
The 2 squads consisted of 16 players in total. 10 of these 16 were under 10’s!
We played some great stuff on the day and translated our work on the Futsal court onto the football pitch.
The boys were outstanding on the day, with one team winning the plate and the other team losing in the cup final.
A brilliant day for the club and the first tournament of many!!!

The Futsal Stars Foundation
We are proud to announce that we are now affiliated with the Futsal Stars Foundation, a registered UK charity (no. 1194598).
The founder, Dr Miriam Bouchiba, created the foundation as a means to provide grants of financial assistance to young people from economically disadvantaged background to access futsal and football coaching courses.
“As a healthcare professional, I am in regular contact with young people from economically disadvantaged backgrounds and there is an abundance of research that shows these individuals are more susceptible to mental health issues. There is also research, in equal measure, that supports the mental and physical health benefits of regular participation in football and futsal. The foundation decided to affiliate with the London Futsal Stars because of the amazing work they are already doing in the local community. Mental health is an increasingly big issue amongst young people, due to increased social pressures and this can manifest in a number of ways, such as anxiety, depression etc. Together we feel a huge responsibility to protect children as much as possible from the latter and through sport we believe we can make a change to the lives of many young people with whom we work with.”
The most recent projects we have collaborated on have been the Youth Futsal 3-a-side league and the summer camp pending in East Sussex alongside Active Sussex. The foundation has provided sponsorship to many young people enabling them to participate in the hugely successful 3-a-side league in Islington. There is an upcoming Summer Holiday futsal camp in Newhaven, East Sussex for 5-11 yr olds. To find out more about our work and how you can help please contact Dr Bouchiba on futsalstarsfoundation@gmail.com.
Our Feature in Highgate and Hampstead Mums Directory
Read our recent feature in the Highgate and Hampstead Mums Directory. We are always trying to spread the word about our efforts in the community and have found the internet to be a great way to do it.
The internet has become a great way to spread your message to large numbers of people and also connect communities.
We are passionate about our North London community and using fustal and football coaching to support mental and physical well being of young people.
Through a combination of running, walking, sprinting and kicking when playing football and futsal, can bring physical benefits including increased stamina, improved cardiovascular health, reduced body fat, improved muscle strength and tone, increased bone strength and improved coordination. Through the release of endorphins when playing, football and futsal have also been shown to reduce anxiety, stress and the risk of depression.
Help us spread the word about the work we are doing in Highgate, Hampstead, Islington, Drayton Park, Camden and Stoke Newington. We would also love to hear from you about ideas on how to spread the word!
